Launching The Thursday Murder Club on Netflix
Netflix’s biggest film launch of the summer: The Thursday Murder Club, a film about pensioners who get together to solve murders in an old people’s home. It’s a cosy night in kind of murder mystery so we created cosy ads made of wool, with mildly threatening undertones.
Four giant knitted billboards popped up at King’s Cross, Manchester Piccadilly, Glasgow Central and Birmingham New Street on release day, inviting passers-by to get hands-on with the artwork and take home their very own mini cross-stitch kit.
Knitted postbox toppers appeared in towns across the country, making great photo ops for the star’s socials.
We enlisted Tom Daley (who famously loves knitting) to knit a TTMC Jumper for cast member Tom Ellis, amplifying the campaign on social. The post has been seen c800k times, and liked 48k times on his channels alone.
We also teamed up with the RHS to bring cosy crime to life through an immersive garden mystery, complete with giant floral film installations, hidden clues and a scavenger hunt.
